Instructions for Reporting a Claim
Most of the companies we represent offer 24-hour claims assistance centers
that allow you to report your claim at any time. For the most prompt
service, contact your company directly. Your quickest response will
likely be received from their own assistance centers.
When you are
involved in an accident, do not admit fault. Always contact the police and
you are not required give out your proof of insurance, unless the other party has their
proof. If you are at fault, contact us so that we can release information to
the other party about your insurance when we are contacted. If you are not
at fault, DO NOT CALL YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY FIRST, TO FILE A CLAIM OR REPORT A CLAIM,
otherwise, it may go on your record. Contact the other party's insurance company
and file a claim. However, if they have no insurance or deny coverage, you may not have a choice.
